News Release
CLAYPOOL — The Kosciusko County Republican Party is to have a caucus to replace Clay Township Trustee Helen Brown.
Brown told InkFreeNews that she’s resigning after 11 years to have more free time. Her resignation is effective Saturday, Dec. 31.
The caucus will be at 6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 22, at the Claypool Lions Building. People are welcome to file for the position up until 72 hours before the start of the caucus by getting declarations of candidacy from the Kosciusko County Clerk’s Office, 121 N. Lake St., Warsaw, and then giving them to Kosciusko County GOP Chair Mike Ragan.
He may be reached by calling 574-265-1430 or emailing [email protected].
Those filing must be Republicans in good standing and live in Clay Township. At the caucus, candidates will have three minutes to speak before the vote occurs. Those voting are GOP precinct committee members from Clay Township who have served continuously from 30 days prior to the start of the caucus.
