North Webster Community Public Library — Cookbook Club To Make Christmas Cookies

NORTH WEBSTER — The following activities are set to take place at North Webster Community Public Library. Attendees do not need to have a library card to participate in any of these events.
Adult Events
Cookbook Club, 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 13. This month’s theme is Christmas cookies. Come bake cookies at the library — they will be making sugar cookie cutouts with sprinkles and homemade frosting. Wear your favorite festive sweater and enjoy some social time as they prepare for the holidays. Bring your favorite cookie recipes to share as well.
Adult Craft Class, 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 13. This month’s craft is to make an ugly Christmas sweater. Bring your own sweater or sweatshirt and they will provide decorations. If you have any old holiday ornaments or decorations that you no longer want, feel free to bring those along to add to the sweater-making fun.
The Glean Team, 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 14. This experienced genealogy team is available to help with any genealogy or research questions.
Teen Events
If your teen is interested in attending the Bake and Take Christmas Cookie event Tuesday, Dec. 20, please register by Dec. 13.
Have the afterschool blues? Stop by between 3:30-5:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 12, to hang out with friends, play board games and battle in Mario Kart on the Nintendo Switch. Feel free to bring your own games to play. Snacks, coffee and pop will be provided. No registration is required.
Anime Club, 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 13. Watch “The Promised Neverland”’s fourth episode and “Fruits Basket”’s second episode. Snacks and pop will be provided. Register in person or by phone. Anime Club is open to grades 6-12, but is recommended for ages 14+ so they can share a wider variety of content. Parental permission slips are available for students under 14.
Teen Study Hall, 3:30-5:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 15. Teens can stop by to work on homework in a relaxed, social environment.
Youth Events
LEGO Time, 5 p.m. Monday, Dec. 12. Come for an hour of freestyle building. LEGOs are provided. This event is geared toward ages 5-12.
Baby and Toddler Time, 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 13. Join in for a fun experience of songs, stories and learning. Then plan on sticking around for meaningful and relaxing play plus networking with other parents. Appropriate for children ages birth to 36 months.
Wednesday, Dec. 14, is the first day to drop off stuffed animals for the Stuffed Animal Sleep-Away Camp. The library will be accepting 30 stuffed animal friends who will stay until the pickup date of Tuesday, Dec. 27. On Tuesday, Dec. 27, pickup will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and campers will all receive a photo booklet of their adventures.
Family Movie Time, 5 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 15. This month they will be showing the movie “Smurfs: The Lost Village.” It is rated PG and lasts 89 minutes. Plan on bringing your own water bottle, but other snacks will be provided for free.
