Craft Charged With Dealing Drugs

SIDNEY — A Claypool man was recently arrested on drug charges.
Steven Michael Craft, 26, 9611 S. 100E, Claypool, is charged with dealing methamphetamine, a level 2 felony; possession of methamphetamine, a level 4 felony; possession of a syringe, a level 6 felony; possession of paraphernalia, a class C misdemeanor; and driving while suspended, a class A misdemeanor.
On Dec. 7, an Indiana State Police trooper saw a vehicle speeding on SR 13, south of Sidney. The trooper pulled the vehicle over and identified its driver as Craft, who told the trooper he didn’t have a valid driver’s license.
According to court documents, a K9 unit alerted to drugs in the vehicle. A search resulted in the discovery of 22 grams of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, multiple plastic bags, and syringes.
Craft admitted the drugs belonged to him and also told the trooper he tried to sell methamphetamine.
Craft was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail on Dec. 7, with a $25,250 surety and cash bond.
