Braxton Chase McGuire — UPDATED
Braxton Chase McGuire, 18, Fort Wayne, formerly of Warsaw, died unexpectedly Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2022, in Indianapolis.
He was born Aug. 22, 2004, in Marion County, to Michelle Lynn (Hopkins) McGuire and Joshua Joseph McGuire.
Braxton loved all things outdoors, hiking, biking, climbing and being by water. He enjoyed exploring nature and loved listening to all kinds of music. He was naturally talented at BMX and was relentless when it came to trying out new tricks. He LOVED riding all year and frequented the indoor skate park, Slam City Skatepark in Fort Wayne. He had a big heart and loved his dogs, Rosco and Baby Girl. Despite the obstacles in his short life, he had a bright smile, a kind heart and a funny sense of humor. Braxton was one of kind and will forever be missed by those who loved him.
He leaves behind his aunt, Brandy (Robert) Fey, Fort Wayne; grandparents, Holly and David McGuire, Warsaw and Teresa Beck, Marion; and great-grandfather, Harold Nicholls, Hendersonville, N.C. Also surviving are his cousins, Mariah Fey and Nyomie Fey; several other great-aunts, great-uncles and distant cousins; and his mother, Michelle Lynn McGuire. He was preceded in death by his father, Joshua Joseph McGuire on March 1, 2020.
Braxton’s life will be celebrated with a memorial service at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 7, 2023, at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw. Friends and family may visit prior to the service from 10–11 a.m. Burial will take place at Grove Chapel Cemetery, Claypool.
