NAPPANEE — The National Weather Service has issued a Blizzard Warning for Elkhart County from 4 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 22, until 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 24.

The city of Nappanee is taking this storm seriously and is closely monitoring the situation and collaborating with their staff and the Elkhart County Emergency Management on steps to take to keep everyone safe.

If conditions warrant and the city of Nappanee has power outages, a warming shelter is planned to be opened. Details on location and hours of operation of the warming center will be shared with the local media, on their website at www.nappanee.org and on social media.
