Warsaw Man Dies After Two-Vehicle Accident On SR 25

WARSAW — Kosciusko County officials are currently investigating a fatal vehicle accident on SR 25, near CR 100S.
At 8:13 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 26, Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office deputies and emergency personnel responded to a personal injury crash. Two vehicles were involved in the collision.
Preliminary investigation determined that Fidel Vasquez, 49, Warsaw, was traveling south on SR 25 in a 1996 Toyota SUV when his vehicle went left of center, hitting a 2017 Ford F-150 truck head-on. The truck was driven by Andrew Wright, 37, Warsaw.
Vasquez was pronounced dead at the scene by the Kosciusko County Coroner’s Office as a result of his injuries sustained in the motor vehicle accident.
Wright was taken to Lutheran Fort Wayne and treated for a broken arm. There were four other passengers in Wright’s vehicle who were also taken to Lutheran Fort Wayne for minor injuries.
KCSO was assisted at the scene by the Warsaw Police Department, Winona Lake Police Department, Indiana State Police, Warsaw-Wayne Fire Territory, Lutheran EMS, and the Kosciusko County Coroner’s Office.
