WARSAW — A Warsaw man will serve seven years in prison after selling methamphetamine to undercover officers.
William Lindly McNees, 53, Warsaw, was charged with dealing methamphetamine, a level 3 felony. Five additional criminal charges were all dismissed as part of a plea agreement.
McNees was sentenced in Kosciusko Circuit Court on Monday, Jan. 30.
For dealing meth, McNees received a seven-year sentence at the Indiana Department of Correction.
Prosecutor Brad Voelz asked for McNees’ entire sentence to be executed due to McNees’ extensive criminal history. Defense Attorney Jay Rigdon asked McNees be given some time on probation since he’s taken responsibility for his actions.
“I apologize and take full responsibility for what I did wrong,” said McNees.
Between March and April 2022, the NET43 Drug Task Force purchased 10.7 grams of meth from McNees, who has a prior conviction for meth possession.
