Candy Sale Helps Woodlawn Hospital, Students
News Release
ROCHESTER — The Woodlawn Hospital Auxiliary candy sale will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 9, in the cafeteria at the hospital, 1400 E. Ninth St., Rochester.
Wakarusa Dime Store will be onsite with the company’s wide variety of candy. The sale is open to the public.
“It is going to be a fun day,” said auxiliary member Karen Tislow. “This historic candy store is a gem in northern Indiana, known for giant jelly beans, taffy and nostalgic candy. We invite the community to stop by and pick up treats for Valentine’s Day in support of the auxiliary’s mission.”
Woodlawn’s auxiliary raises money for scholarships for local students who want to pursue a career in the health care field. The auxiliary also helps to fund the purchase of needed equipment for the hospital.
