Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accident:

• 8:31 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 9, South SR 14, north of West CR 1200S, Akron. Driver: Andrew D. Cummings, 34, West Dunn Street 1, Fulton. Cummings’ vehicle hit a deer. Damage up to $10,000.

Pierceton

Officers with the Pierceton Police Department investigated the following accident:

• 7:58 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 8, East CR 600S, west of East Channel Road, Pierceton. Driver: Peggy M. McCallen Grossnickle, 72, South CR 400E, Warsaw. McCallen Grossnickle’s vehicle left the roadway. Damage up to $1,000.

Elkhart County

Officers with the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accident:

• 2:25 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 8, SR 19 and CR 38, Elkhart. Drivers: Mark Hill, 69, Wakarusa; and Jacob Dermott, 76, Nappanee. Hill entered the intersection and did not see Dermott’s vehicle already crossing, causing them to collide. Hill was cited for failure to yield to the right-of-way resulting in bodily injury and Dermott was taken to Elkhart General Hospital for a head laceration.
