Oratory Contest Tips:
- The competition includes competitors of all ages and skill levels. It is intended to be a safe space to try out something new. All will be welcomed and applauded.
- Prizes will be awarded to two winners with prizes. In years past. prizes have included iPads, laptops and/or cash. A winner might decide to go to the next level with more prizes and scholarships. A few years ago, the Club had someone go on to the national competition in St. Louis, Mo., and win $2,000.
- Read the instructions carefully for tips. Most importantly, the speech should only be between four to five minutes long. The speaker may use notes.
