Bill R. Bontrager, 79, Avon, died at 9:39 a.m. Tuesday, March 21, 2023, at his home.

He was born Nov. 17, 1943. On Feb. 19, 1966, he married Jayne (Waldruff) Bontrager, who survives.

He also is survived by four children, Angela Bontrager, Avon, Andrea (Scott) Morgan, Avon, Brad (Heather) Bontrager, Syracuse, and Brent Bontrager, Bristol; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and seven siblings.

Rieth-Rohrer-Ehret Funeral Homes, Goshen, is handling arrangements.
