Plenty Of Easter Egg Hunts Upcoming In Area

WARSAW — The Easter Bunny’s helpers are going to be hard at work hiding eggs for children to find in the area over the next few weeks.
Below is a list of egg hunts throughout Kosciusko County and surrounding areas. To submit an egg hunt for a future list, email [email protected].
Akron
- The Akron Chamber of Commerce has an egg hunt from 10:30 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 8, at Pike Memorial Park. There are different start times for each age group. Those are: 11:30 a.m. for ages 0-3; 11:35 a.m. for ages 4-6; 11:40 a.m. for ages 7-9; and 11:45 a.m. for ages 10-12. One adult is allowed to assist each participant in the ages 0-3 group. There will be 6,000 eggs and prizes, pictures with the Easter Bunny and a spring petting zoo.
Atwood
- Otterbein United Methodist Church has an egg hunt at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 1, at the church’s fellowship hall for toddlers through grade school children. Children and their parents will gather in the church fellowship hall, and the Easter Bunny will be on hand to add to the fun. Snacks and other activities will also be available. All are welcome.
Etna Green
- The Etna Green Lions Club has an egg hunt at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 8, at Heritage Park.
Mentone
- The Mentone Chamber of Commerce will have an egg hunt starting at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 8, at Mentzer Park.
Milford
- The Milford Kiwanis will host an egg hunt Saturday, April 8, at Milford Schools. The Easter Bunny will arrive by fire truck at 10:15 a.m., with the hunt starting at 10:30 a.m. The event is open to those in the third grade and under.
North Manchester
- The North Manchester Parks and Recreation Department has an egg hunt from 10-10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 8, at Warvel Park, 702 N. Market St. Kids up to middle school may participate.
North Webster
- The North Webster Lions Club’s annual egg hunt starts at 9 a.m. sharp Saturday, April 8. The event will be held at the ball fields in North Webster. There will be cash prizes and hard-boiled eggs furnished by Creighton Brothers. There are four age groups: toddlers; preschool and kindergarten; grades 1 through 3; and grades 4 through 5. The hunt is limited to those up to age 12.
- The North Webster Church of God is excited to partner with Camp Crosley again for its annual egg hunt on Saturday, April 8. With 20,000 eggs, there are plenty for everyone age 0-12. The hunts are split into four age-appropriate hunt zone times, so people may watch each of their kids participate. There will be free hot cocoa and doughnuts, a petting zoo, a craft and story. The Easter Bunny will be walking around the grounds ready for photos. People should preregister for the event by going to tinyurl.com/nwcogegghunt23. Check-in starts at 9:30 a.m. and the event starts at 10 a.m.
Pierceton
- Harvest Community Church, 512 S. Seventh St., has a community Easter event on Saturday, April 1. There will be crafts at noon and an egg hunt at 1 p.m.
- The Pierceton and Washington Township Library has an egg/scavenger hunt on Wednesday, April 5. The event also includes lunch, snacks and crafts. Only a few may participate in each age group, and people should sign up on the sheet at the library through Friday, March 24. Ages 2-4 will go 11:30 a.m. to noon; ages 5-12 from 12:15-1:15 p.m.; and ages 13-18 from 1:30-2:30 p.m.
Rochester
- Fulton County REMC is sponsoring an egg hunt on Saturday, April 1, at The Outlet Youth Center, 491 Apache Drive. Festivities start at 4 p.m., with the hunt at 5 p.m.
Syracuse
- An egg hunt at Lakeside Park in Syracuse is Saturday, April 1. It’s open to all children ages 10 and under. Each group will have their own time to hunt for eggs. Those start at: 10 a.m. for ages 0-3; 10:30 a.m. for ages 4-6; and 11 a.m. for ages 7-10. After the hunt, each child that returns the eggs will receive a treat. Three golden eggs will be hidden for each age group for a special prize. Kids should bring their own Easter baskets.
Silver Lake
- The Silver Lake Lions Club’s annual egg hunt is 11 a.m. Saturday, April 1, at the former Silver Lake School grounds. Five age groups may participate: 0-1; 2-3; 4-6; 7-9; and 10-sixth grade. Prizes will be awarded in each age group. Everyone should bring their own containers. A rain date is set for Saturday, April 8.
Warsaw
- The Warsaw Evangelical Presbyterian Church is hosting a community egg hunt at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, April 8, on the Kosciusko County Courthouse lawn. Along with the hunt, there will be inflatables and face painting. Courthouse Coffee on the Square will offer snacks and drinks for purchase.
- The City-County Athletic Complex, 3215 W. Old Road 30, is having an egg hunt on Saturday, April 8. It starts at 4 p.m. and is separated into different age groups.
Winona Lake
- For the second year in a row, the Easter “Egg My House” fundraiser will benefit Winona Lake Limitless Park. People may have candy- and toy-filled eggs placed at selected houses in Winona Lake or Warsaw on either Friday, April 7, or Saturday, April 8. Eggs may be dropped in a basket or hidden for an additional fee. The deadline to order is noon Friday, March 31.
