Syracuse Boil Order Still In Place
SYRACUSE — A boil order issued Tuesday afternoon, March 21, due to a water main break is still in effect in Syracuse. The affected area is Pickwick Drive from SR 13 to Poplar Drive and on Forrest Drive.
Mark Aurich, public works superintendent, reported the contract lab in South Bend did not set up the town’s water sample until 6 a.m. this morning, March 23, so results will not be available until 6 a.m. Friday morning, March 24.
Aurich reported to the Syracuse Town Council during its regular meeting Tuesday night, March 21, he would notify all affected customers when the boil order is lifted. There are approximately 18 homes and 8-9 businesses under the boil order.
