Arter, Leininger Top Whitko Class Of 2023

SOUTH WHITLEY — Anna E. Arter and Jordyn J. Leininger have achieved the top spots for Whitko Junior-Senior High School’s Class of 2023.
The school made the announcement that Arter was valedictorian and Leininger salutatorian in a press release on Monday, April 10. It also included information about the students.
Arter, the daughter of Dale and Tonya Arter, plans to study pre-pharmacy at Manchester University following graduation.
While at Whitko, her extracurricular activities have consisted of: girls’ varsity tennis; secretary of the National Honor Society; art club; math academic team; after-school Central SERVE; junior team tennis; Peacekeepers; and the volleyball team.
Leininger is the daughter of Thad and Rochelle Leininger. She will attend Butler University as an exploratory studies major.
Her high school activities have consisted of: FFA, competing in livestock judging, meats evaluation, livestock skillathon, career development event – sheep proficiency, and district leadership development events – employment skills, prepared public speaking and talent; 4-H, competing in the Kosciusko County and state fairs and various regional shows and national events and participating in Poss-ABILITIES; treasurer of the National Honor Society; Peacekeepers; varsity soccer; varsity cross-country; Wagon Wheel Theatre; Fort Wayne Youtheatre; titleholder in Miss Indiana Organization; titleholder in Miss Indiana Teen USA pageant; and peer tutoring.
Whitko’s graduation is set for 6:30 p.m. Friday, June 2, in the high school’s gymnasium.
