WARSAW — The barn damaged in a fire on Sunday afternoon, April 9, has been declared a total loss.

That’s according to Warsaw-Wayne Fire Territory Assistant Chief Aaron Bolinger. He said that’s due to damage from heat and other factors.

WWFT was on scene to the fire at 2919 S. Ferguson Road, just north of West CR 300S on Goose Lake, within six minutes, said Bolinger, and had the fire controlled within 19 minutes.

He said the cause of the fire was “accidental.”

Also assisting at the scene were the Claypool and Winona Lake fire departments, Lutheran EMS and the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office.
