MENTONE — Mentone is receiving more than $350,000 to improve streets in town.

Town leaders learned this week that the town is getting $352,122.05 in Indiana Department of Transportation Community Crossings Matching Grant funds.

Council President Jill Gross noted it’s the first time ever the town has received money via the program. Mentone has to provide a 25% financial match to the amount it’s receiving, which it has already planned for.
