Food Bank Sets Mobile Food Distributions For May

SOUTH BEND — The Food Bank of Northern Indiana has set mobile food distribution dates and times for the month of May.
Some area distribution days include:
Elkhart County: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, May 12, while supplies last, at the Shepherd’s Cove Food Pantry, 1010 E. Mishawaka Road, Elkhart. This is a U.S. Department of Agriculture distribution and will serve 200 households.
Marshall County: Noon until 2 p.m. Monday, May 15, while supplies last, at the Plymouth parks/pools parking lot, 1660 N. Michigan St., Plymouth. This is a USDA distribution and will serve 200 households.
Kosciusko County: 10 a.m. until noon Wednesday, May 17, while supplies last, at the Kosciusko County Fairgrounds, 1400 E. Smith St., Warsaw. This is a USDA distribution and will serve 200 households.
Assorted food items are offered free of charge on a first-come, first-served basis, while supplies last, for those who need food assistance. All items are pre-boxed and pre-bagged. One box or bag is available per household.
Distributions are drive-thru events; recipients should remain in their vehicle and open their car trunk to receive items. An area will be available for self-loading if your trunk does not open.
Other distributions in May are planned in St. Joseph, LaPorte and Starke counties.
