Richard D. Born Sr., 68, Columbia City, died Friday, April 28, 2023, at The Waters of Columbia City.

He was born May 22, 1954. On Nov. 15, 1997, he married Linda (Stresemann) Mabie, who survives.

He also is survived by six children, Richard (Dawn) Born Jr., Steve (Santana) Born, Troy Born, Jeff (Angie) Mabie, Jason (Karon) Mabie and James Mabie; brother, Dennis (Sharon) Born; two sisters, Carol (Roger) Boggs and Brenda (Charles) Johnson; 15 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
