Kosciusko County’s Popular LAKELife Magazine Sets Sail For Year No. 4
Staff Report
MILFORD — Whether you live on the lake, plan to live there someday or just spend a lot of time hanging out at the lake, there’s something for all lake lovers in Kosciusko County’s newest lake lifestyle publication, LAKElife.
LAKElife Magazine is published six months out of the year, April – September and is mailed to all major lakefront homeowners throughout the county each month. The premiere issue debuted in April 2020.
Filled with information pertaining to lake living, the magazine features articles about water activities, area wildlife, lake town profiles, community events, lake life decor, contact information for area restaurants and other businesses, as well as summer fare recipes.
Distribution of the April issue began April 1, as we kick-off season four of celebrating the good life — and all nuggets we can unearth within Kosciusko County. All are welcome with us as we recognize the people, places, history, homes, water fun and families who call Kosciusko County ‘home.’
“With LAKElife now in its fourth season, we have been amazed at the popularity of this publication. We have had so much positive feedback from our readers and advertisers,” said Steve Meadows, director of marketing for The Papers Inc. “Now growing to six issues per season, we are excited to offer our readers access to expanded content and feel that our advertisers will be well served with six issues. We have many readers who tell us that they support our advertisers which allows us to do what we do. We are so thankful for our readers and advertisers; we are honored to serve both.”
At LAKElife Magazine, we celebrate the lakes, our communities within Kosciusko County, lake friends, natural beauty, good food, and treasured family. Does it get any better? We recognize life’s simplicities and the magazine has been created for our readers. We offer several interactive platforms that help keep us engaged with our readers, which makes this such an amazing, fulfilling and fun journey.
“Now into our fourth season of LAKElife Magazine, we continue to grow in exciting ways,” said Sue Rawlinson-Pais, executive editor of the publication and long-time publishing voice throughout our region. “LAKElife readers and the Kosciusko County community are graciously and consistently engaged with our publication… they understand that we are created for–and with–them. We continue to celebrate positivity, family, and togetherness within each issue we produce–and our momentum in doing so only grows stronger. We’re an uplifting read, a respite from daily demands, and we strive to shine light on all that is celebratory in our worlds. Looking ahead, we have very exciting plans in the works… and we encourage any and all to join along on the journey.”
For those not living on a lake, there are dozens of newsstand locations throughout the county where the magazine is available. Subscriptions for home delivery are available as well. A subscription page and form can be found on the website or within each issue during the season.
“I continue to be amazed at the resilience LAKELife magazine carries from issue to issue and year to year,” said Ron Baumgartner, publisher of The Papers Inc. “Recently I received a comment from one Lake Wawasee resident that he and his wife enjoy the colorful advertising representing local businesses as much as the photos and stories in each issue. That is a real compliment to the skilled graphic artists bringing life to every page in the magazine.”
