Wildman Business Acquires WM Uniform
News Release
Wildman Business Group is excited to announce the acquisition of and partnership with WM Uniform based in Holland, Michigan into the Wildman Business Group family. As another independent, family-owned business with shared values, we are honored they chose Wildman as their partner to continue their family’s legacy in quality customer experience and exceptional team member care.
Their 2,000 customers, 100 team members, and 20 routes are joining the Wildman family as of May 15, 2023.
An acquisition of this size between two independent laundries hasn’t happened in this specific industry for more than 50 years.
Building on a combined 130 years of industry experience, the values-alignment between the teams is remarkable. Both companies are focused on providing excellent service through honest, authentic relationships and operating with integrity.
“The opportunity to come together was driven by President of WM Uniform, Patrick Van Tuinen’s eye toward succession planning and was made easy with alignment on our shared core values around honesty, integrity, relationships, excellence, living by faith, and treating others as they would want to be treated,” said Josh Wildman, CEO of Wildman Business Group. “We’re excited about the synergies created from our shared values and the ability to use business to change lives.”
The two leaders share years-long professional admiration and a personal friendship. Both share a commitment to remaining independent as a way to ensure best-in-class service and preserve the culture they have intentionally built for their organizations.
In addition to the services customers already received from WM Uniform such as uniforms, mat and towel rental, and restroom programs, customers will have access to additional product lines such as first aid and safety essentials and restroom hygiene cleaning known as CleanTeam.
For the most seamless customer experience, both companies will retain their independent names and individual branding – and continue to serve customers with the same sales and service teams. We recognize it takes an incredible team to serve our customers, which is why we’re grateful to the nearly 100 team members joining our greater team for making this a successful transition.
Patrick Van Tuinen will remain on the team as Regional Vice President, continuing to lead the WM Uniform team as a division of Wildman.
This partnership allows WMU 3rd generation leaders Steve and Mitch Van Tuinen to transition into a new stage of life with retirement.
Nick Porter, who spent his entire career in the uniform and linen industry and currently serves as General Manager at Wildman’s Griffith branch, will oversee WM Uniform’s production, maintenance, and stockroom.
Wildman is a destination employer passionate about changing the perception of the industrial laundry industry. One method of achieving this is through strategic partnership with other independent laundries looking for an alternative succession plan to large nationals with the purpose of continuing the families’ legacies.
