PIERCETON — Pierceton had several events to mark Memorial Day on Monday, May 29.
A parade was held, followed by a ceremony organized by the Menzie-Reece American Legion Post 258 and the Boy Scouts of America at Brower Park. Commander of the Post, Chad Collier, shared a few words encouraging the community to live and honor the ideals that service members fought for. Post Chaplain Jerry Hartman gave a prayer before Post 258 performed a three-volley salute in honor of the fallen, closing out the ceremony.
