WARSAW — Four people were injured after a rear-end vehicle accident west of Warsaw Tuesday evening.
At 4:18 p.m. Tuesday, June 6, the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office responded to a two-vehicle accident on West Old Road 30, south of West CR 100N, Warsaw.
Jessica K. Gomola, 40, Tippecanoe, was driving a blue 2015 Toyota Sienna west on West Old Road 30. She was traveling behind a black 2002 Chevrolet S-10 driven by Kevin F. Mar, 17, Warsaw.
According to a KCSO accident report, Mar was waiting to turn left onto West CR 100N, as a semi tractor-trailer combination on West CR 100N was backing toward West Old Road 30. Gomola told deputies she was watching the semi and did not notice Mar’s vehicle was stopped, which resulted in a rear-end collision.
Gomola complained of chest pain. Two passengers in her vehicle, Lillian Gomola, 6; and Serena Gomola, 10, both of Tippecanoe, sustained chest abrasions.
A passenger in Mar’s vehicle, Anthony Mar, 13, Warsaw, complained of back pain.
Damages are estimated up to $25,000.
