Three Face Charges After Officers Find Drugs In Silver Lake Home

SILVER LAKE — Three people are facing charges after officers found drugs in a Silver Lake home.
Christopher L. Grindle, 41, 504 E. Sycamore St., Silver Lake, is charged with possession of methamphetamine and maintaining a common nuisance, both level 6 felonies; possession of marijuana, a class B misdemeanor; and possession of paraphernalia, a class C misdemeanor.
Nina Rachelle Neupert, 32, 504 E. Sycamore St., Silver Lake, is charged with possession of methamphetamine, a level 6 felony; possession of marijuana, a class B misdemeanor; possession of paraphernalia, a class C misdemeanor; and possession of marijuana, a class A misdemeanor.
Shawn R. Cooper, 43, 504 E. Sycamore St., Silver Lake, is charged with possession of methamphetamine, a level 6 felony; and possession of paraphernalia, a class C misdemeanor.
On June 9, an Indiana State Police trooper received information about Neupert being wanted on three outstanding warrants related to drug charges.
According to court documents, officers went to where Neupert resided and smelled marijuana upon entering the home. Grindle, the residence’s homeowner, and Neupert told officers not to search the building. Officers then obtained a search warrant for the residence.
Grindle told officers he rented the front bedroom of the home to Cooper.
Upon searching Grindle and Neupert’s room, officers found drug paraphernalia and marijuana. One of the smoking devices had meth residue.
In Cooper’s room, officers found drug paraphernalia and items with meth residue.
Neupert has three prior convictions for marijuana possession. She also has three active criminal cases for meth possession.
Cooper has prior convictions for marijuana and meth possession.
Grindle and Neupert were both booked in the Kosciusko County Jail on June 9. A warrant was issued for Cooper’s arrest on June 16.
