Antu-Garza Arrested For Resisting Arrest

WARSAW — A Warsaw teenager was arrested for allegedly resisting arrest.
Emiliano Javier Antu-Garza, 18, 3581 N. SR 15, Warsaw, is charged with resisting law enforcement, a level 6 felony; resisting law enforcement, a class A misdemeanor; and possession of marijuana, a class B misdemeanor.
On June 12, a Warsaw Police officer noticed a red Ford Explorer with a registration which returned to a different vehicle. As the officer attempted to pull the vehicle over, the driver continued driving and sped up, eventually parking near a residence on Detroit Street.
According to court documents, the driver, later identified as Antu-Garza, attempted to flee on foot. He disregarded officers’ commands and was eventually tased.
While taking Antu-Garza into custody, officers found a THC vape cartridge on the ground beside Antu-Garza.
Antu-Garza has already been arrested and released on bond. He has an initial hearing at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 29, in Kosciusko Superior Court Three.
