Betty Lucille (Verduin) Tschida, 89, died at 2:15 a.m. Wednesday, June 21, 2023, at St. Paul’s Retirement Home, South Bend.

She was born April 14, 1934. On April 7, 1956, she married Frederick M. Tschida, who preceded her in death in 2011.

She is survived by her five children, Diana (Marc) Laudeman, Bremen, Kathy (Michael) Baier, Dallas, Ga., David (Nanette) Tschida, Comstock Park, Mich., Gary (Karla) Tschida, Young Harris, Ga., and Julie (Greg) Youngs, Plymouth; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Palmer Funeral Home, South Bend, is handling arrangements.
