WARSAW — A Warsaw woman was recently arrested for allegedly stealing a Jeep.
Ashly Danielle Johnson, 32, 403 N. Columbia St., Warsaw, is charged with theft, a level 6 felony.
On June 6, a Warsaw Police officer responded to a vehicle theft. A woman said she was outside her residence when she heard her garage door open and a vehicle drive away.
The woman also discovered Johnson, who was the only other individual present at the time, was gone. According to court documents, the woman said she believed Johnson stole a silver Jeep Grand Cherokee from the residence.
Later that day, a man reported Johnson had returned home and said she left the vehicle parked elsewhere in Warsaw. Officers found the Jeep Cherokee and learned Johnson did not have permission from the Jeep’s owners to use the Jeep.
Johnson was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail on June 15, with a $5,250 surety and cash bond.
