Goshen Theater Announces Summer Schedule

GOSHEN — Goshen Theater has announced their summer schedule.
Goshen Theater is calling all theatrical and film performers, directors, choreographers, and arts administrators.
Goshen Theater Education Department invites you to join them for Theatrical Intimacy Education: Best Practices workshop from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, July 22 which includes a lunch break.
This workshop includes tools for developing a consent-based process in a performance and rehearsal setting, setting and
respecting boundaries, desexualizing the theatrical/filming process, choreographing intimacy, and proper documentation
practices.
This workshop is being instructed by Lusie Cuskey, Theatrical Intimacy Education associate faculty.
You must be 18 years and older to participate in this workshop.
Registration is $100 and financial aid is available to participants.
There are a limited number of spots available for this workshop. Should spots fill, a waitlist will be created on a first-come,
first-served basis. Registration closes at 5 p.m. Wednesday, July 12.

Join everyone in the Goshen Theater Lobby to take in the talents of the Northern Indiana Clay Alliance. This Visual Art Series will be on display until July 31, and can be viewed during any public event and during box office hours from noon – 4 p.m. Tuesday through Friday.
An artist reception will be held on Friday, July 7 during the July First Fridays: Cruise In Car Show.
After three weeks of acting, creating, dancing, and singing, the GTDC Summer Camp students will be ready to show off their
skills to family, friends, and fans.
Join everyone in the Miller Auditorium at Goshen Theater at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 1, at the GTDC Summer Showcase. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased at www.goshentheater.com/events.
GTDC Summer Camp is made possible through the generosity of the Goshen Noon Kiwanis Club.
The First Fridays: Northern Indiana Clay Alliance Artist Reception is 5-8 p.m. Friday, July 7.
Join everyone in the Goshen Theater Lobby to view the works of art created by the Northern Indiana Clay Alliance. You might even have the chance to meet one of the featured artists. Bar and concessions will be available for purchase.
Join everyone at 7 p.m. Friday, July 14, at the Miller Auditorium at Goshen Theater for their free movie night showing of Disney’s “Luca.”
Set in a beautiful seaside town on the Italian Riviera, the original animated feature is a coming-of-age story about one young
boy experiencing an unforgettable summer filled with gelato, pasta and endless scooter rides.
Luca shares these adventures with his newfound best friend, but all the fun is threatened by a deeply held secret: he is a sea monster from another world just below the water’s surface. The movie is rated PG and the run time is one hour thirty-five minutes.
Admission to this event is free, but donations are encouraged.
Doors open at 6:15 p.m., and the bar and concession stand will be open.

Goshen Theater is thrilled to present The Wizard of Oz (Muny Version) at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, July 28-29 and Thursday through Saturday, August 3-5. The Wizard of Oz will also be presented at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 30 and Sunday, August 6.
Join everyone as they follow Dorothy on her travels through the magical Land of Oz. Come meet the wonderful, well known, cast of characters that have brought so much joy to audiences since their creation by author L. Frank Baum.
With new characters now featured in the movie, mark your calendars, and save the date. This is not a show that you will want to miss.

Four fun-loving dinosaurs take a trip to New York City, courtesy of Capt. Neweyes (Walter Cronkite). The time-traveling alien is
intent on bringing some joy to the lives of the children of the Big Apple.
After eating a potion to boost their smarts and cuddliness, Tyrannosaurus Rex (John Goodman), Triceratops Woog (René Le Vant), Pterodactyl Elsa (Felicity Kendal) and Hadrosaur Dweeb (Charles Fleischer) hit the town. But trouble soon arrives when Neweyes’ evil brother hatches a devious plot. The movie is rated G. The run time is one hour thirteen minutes.
Spanish Subtitles are available. Admission to this event is free, but donations are encouraged. The doors open at 6:15 p.m. and the bar and concession stand will be open.
