Two Facing Charges For Stealing Jewelry From Warsaw Business

WARSAW — Two people are facing charges for allegedly stealing jewelry from a Warsaw business.
Meagan Ashlynn Martens, 34, 14448 E. 100S, Akron; and Zackery James Williams, 34, 5713 N. 2nd St., Warsaw, are each charged with theft, a level 6 felony.
On March 10, Bowers Jewelry in Warsaw was broken into by a man wearing a mask. During the burglary, 176 items of jewelry were stolen.
According to court documents, the Warsaw Police Department learned Williams sold four chain necklaces at a Logansport pawn shop on March 10. These necklaces were later identified by Bowers Jewelry employees as items stolen from their store. The total value of the necklaces pawned by Williams was $2,457.
In addition, officers learned on March 28 that Martens pawned a 14k gold necklace, also stolen from Bowers Jewelry, in Kokomo. The necklace pawned by Martens valued at $1,650.
Martens was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail on June 21, with a $5,250 surety and cash bond. A warrant was issued for Williams’ arrest on June 7.
