Forbes recently named it’s list of America’s best banks in each state. Large national banks with branches in 15 or more states were excluded from the list.

The list focuses on small-to-medium-sized banks and used a variety of criteria to evaluate each bank including online reviews.

Forbes partnered with Statista to survey 31,000 Americans and gather their feedback.

Other criteria mentioned included customer service, quality of financial advice, overall transparency, online services, branch services, and overall trust in each institution.

1st Source Bank based in South Bend was No.1 on the list. Two additional Indiana banks were named to the list. First Farmers Bank & Trust based out of Converse and Centier Bank in Merrillville also made the list.
