Merna Louise Cunningham Sparling, 90, Lucedale, Miss., died at 8:30 a.m. Sunday, June 25, at George Regional Hospital, Lucedale, Miss.

She was born Feb. 13, 1933. On Aug. 18, 1952, she married David Lee Cunningham, who preceded her in death in 1983. On Feb. 11, 2007, she married Theodore “Ted” Sparling, who preceded her in death in 2021.

She is survived by two children, Lori (Mark) Draper, Wabash, and Chris (Edwina) Cunningham, Mesa, Ariz.; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brother, Jerry (Christina) Ault, Wabash; and stepchildren, Reynolds (Dana) Sparling, Michigan, Danny (Pam) Sparling, Kokomo, Tony (Vickie) Sparling, Logansport, Lonita (Woody) Woods, Tennessee, Dianne Miller, Tennessee, and Dotti (Brian) Voiles, Tennessee.

Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, Wabash, is handling arrangements.
