Fourth Of July Event Updates: What’s Still Happening, What’s Not?

WARSAW — Several changes to Fourth of July events for Saturday, July 1, have occurred.
Chapman Lake
Due to weather, the Chapman Lake Conservation Association’s fireworks show has been postponed to dusk Monday, July 3.
Syracuse
Turkey Creek Fire Territory’s annual Chicken & Chop BBQ has been rescheduled to the Fourth of July due to the weather. It will start from 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 4, until sold out.
Winona Lake
Pony rides and inflatables are already set up in Winona Lake. These events were initially scheduled to start at 5 p.m. Saturday, July 1. The pony rides will be taking place in Winona Lake until 4 p.m. Inflatables will only shut down during the parade, which is currently scheduled for 5 p.m. Saturday.
As of 2:30 p.m. Saturday, the parade is still happening.
Plans for Wawasee Property Owners Association Lake Wawasee and Winona Lake’s fireworks shows, both scheduled for Saturday, July 1, are still on.
According to the National Weather Service of Northern Indiana, there is a 30% percent chance of showers and thunderstorms mainly after 4 p.m. Showers and storms are also highly likely during the overnight hours.
There is a 70% chance of rain and storms on Sunday, July 2.
