Sidewalk Sales, Cruise-In Return To Downtown Wabash

WABASH — Downtown Wabash Inc. will host its annual Summer Sidewalk Sales event in conjunction with the 24th Annual Dave Kunkel Cruise-In and the Downtown Wabash Farmers Market at Paradise Spring Park. The Kunkel Cruise-In will bring in more than 400 classic cars at the Honeywell Center. The weekend festivities will take place Friday and Saturday, Aug. 18-19, with free rides on Trolley No. 85 throughout Downtown Wabash provididng easy transportation between all three events.
Summer Sidewalk Sales
Friday, Aug. 18, and Saturday, Aug. 19; hours vary by business. Independent retailers in Downtown Wabash will feature shopping deals on special items and seasonal products including boutique clothing, books, antiques, thrifted vintage and more. Food trucks and mobile bars will also be serving food and beverages throughout the Downtown Wabash District in conjunction with the Dave Kunkel Cruise-In.

Downtown Wabash Farmers Market

8 a.m. to noon Saturday, Aug. 19. More than 35 vendors will feature handmade, homemade and homegrown items including fresh produce, meats, dairy products, home goods, plants, arts and artisan wares. Shoppers are invited to experience more than vendor offerings at the 2023 Market including live music, food trucks, Kids Corner activities, demonstrations and more.

Dave Kunkel Cruise-In

3-9 p.m. Friday, Aug. 18; 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 19. The 24th Annual Dave Kunkel Cruise-In car show is open to both cars and trucks of classic and late models. More than 400 cars are entered into the cruise-in every year and enter rounds of judging and awards for numerous categories. Funds raised at the event will go toward ALS research in honor of Dave Kunkel, a native of Wabash County.
Trolley No. 85
4-7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 18; 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 19. Trolley No. 85 will give free rides throughout the Downtown Wabash district for easy transportation between all three events. Trolley stops include Paradise Spring Park, Veterans Plaza, Eagles Theatre, The Legion, The Depot on Canal Street and the East Market District Lot for easily accessible parking.
