Valley Students Receive Academic Honors From College Board
News Release
AKRON — Seven Tippecanoe Valley High School students have earned academic honors from the College Board National Recognition Programs.
These programs celebrate students’ work in high school and showcase their academic performance. The designation honors students and is an opportunity for them to share their academic achievements with colleges and scholarship programs.
Students honored at Valley either received the National Hispanic Recognition Award or National Rural and Small-Town Award (NRSTA).
The TVHS students included:
- Anahi Ramirez-Brito, NHRA, NRSTA;
- Benton Nellans, NRSTA;
- Chloe Haussmann, NHRA;
- Katelyn Stump, NRSTA;
- Kaylynn Miller, NRSTA;
- Makynna Rentschler, NRSTA; and
- Sarah Finney, NRSTA.
The criteria for eligible students included: a GPA of 3.5 or higher; and PSAT/NMSQT or PSAT 10 assessment scores that are within the top 10% of assessment takers in each state for each award program; or scores of 3 or higher on two or more AP exams in ninth and 10th grade.
