Goshen Grief Author Joins Catholic Speakers Organization
News Release
CINCINNATI — The Catholic Speakers Organization has announced the latest addition to its roster of motivational speakers: Thomas Rose, an author from Goshen.
“Our organization stands as the world’s premier agency dedicated to Catholic-focused speakers,” said Joe Condit, the founder and chief executive officer of the Catholic Speakers Organization. “With over 400 remarkable speakers, including authors, sports celebrities, movie stars, politicians and clergy, we pride ourselves on providing unparalleled professional representation for our elite speakers. We are delighted to extend a warm welcome to Tom as he joins our exclusive group.”
Following the passing of his wife due to breast cancer in August 2019, Rose was inspired by a close friend to write a book titled “Balloon in a Box, Coping with Grief,” which has now been revised and released as “Balloon in a Box 2.” Reflecting on this transformational journey, Rose remarks, “With that little book, I captured lightning in a bottle because I suddenly became both an author and a speaker.”
Rose has since delivered more than 80 inspirational speeches across the Midwest, addressing audiences in churches, service clubs, retirement communities and even correctional facilities. For him, this has become not only a passion but also a ministry. Rose anticipates taking his message to a national audience through the Catholic Speakers Organization.
Rose’s literary accomplishments extend beyond his grief-focused work. Alongside his wife, he hosted a weekly cooking segment for 13 years on a regional Fox TV morning show, titled “Cooking Together with Tom and Joyce.” During this time, they co-authored two cookbooks, namely “Cooking Together Chinese Style” and “Cooking Together Quick and Easy.” Following Joyce Rose’s passing, Tom Rose, with the assistance of his son, created “Cooking Together Revisited” in her memory. Proceeds from the sales of this cookbook are dedicated to supporting breast cancer initiatives for families affected by the disease. Additionally, Rose has ventured into the world of fiction with his murder mystery novel, “The Secret is in the Pasta.”
