Whitko Student Spotlight: Interest In Tractors Leads To GreenMark Job

SOUTH WHITLEY ā Wyatt Clark, a senior at Whitko Junior Senior High School, developed an interest in tractors and mechanics at an early age.
He chose an ag mechanics pathway at Whitko Career Academy, where he painted and refurbished a tractor. Wyatt began working for GreenMark Equipment in Warsaw in April as part of his Work Based Learning program. He enjoys fixing broken machinery, putting on newly ordered parts for customers, delivering equipment back to the customer and washing the equipment.
After graduation, Wyatt hopes to go to Owens Community College to become a certified technician for John Deere.
āI love my job because Iām able to develop my knowledge of equipment in the mechanics industry, and I realize not many people my age have this advantage,ā Wyatt said.
The Work Based Learning program at Whitko Career Academy plans to feature a student each month.
