Cordero Arrested For Allegedly Battering Two People

WARSAW — A Warsaw teenager was recently arrested for allegedly battering two people.
Julian Jacob Cordero, 19, 1012 Pike Shore Drive, Warsaw, is charged with battery resulting in moderate bodily injury, intimidation, and domestic battery resulting in moderate bodily injury, all level 6 felonies; domestic battery, a class A misdemeanor; and criminal mischief, a class B misdemeanor.
On Sept. 18, a Warsaw Police officer responded to a report of a physical altercation. Upon arrival at the scene, the officer saw a man with a fresh bump above his right eye and a small cut on the underside of his right wrist.
According to court documents, a woman said Cordero showed up at her home to gather a child’s belongings when Cordero ripped a necklace off her neck. The officer noticed a large red mark on the woman’s neck. The woman also later discovered her cellphone’s screen was broken.
A witness said she heard Cordero threaten to stab the man and saw Cordero punch the man.
The man also confirmed Cordero threatened to stab him, punched him, and ripped a necklace from the woman’s neck.
Officers found Cordero, who denied going to the residence where the incident occurred.
Cordero is on pretrial release for possessing methamphetamine while in possession of a firearm and battery.
Cordero was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail on Sept. 18, with a $6,000 surety and cash bond.
