Concert In Warsaw Benefits Combined Community Services
News Release
WARSAW — Combined Community Services recently received a donation of $870 from Grant Magner, who is an active member of the Lakeland Community Concert Association.
The Lakeland Community Concert Association held its final concert Sept. 10 at the Warsaw High School Performing Arts Center, featuring the Purdue Glee Club. Although the concert was free of charge, guests were encouraged to bring nonperishable food items to donate to Combined Community Services.
Thanks to the generosity of the attendees, more than 1,180 pounds of food were collected, and an additional $142 was raised for CCS.
Magner has played a significant role in the Lakeland Community Concert Association, serving as the president and membership chairman for many years. Magner and his wife, Annette, who serves as the secretary, have worked to ensure that the concert association continues to provide concerts to the Warsaw community. The concert association and its board of trustees are proud of the live entertainment they have brought to the community for the past 30 years.
The donation from Magner, Lakeland Community Concert Association and its members will help to make a positive impact in the lives of those in need whom CCS serves.
