Progress Continues On Pool, Auditorium In TVHS Construction Project

AKRON — Progress has continued on the pool and auditorium as part of Tippecanoe Valley High School’s construction project.
The Tippecanoe Valley School Board heard that information from The Skillman Corp. Project Manager Scott Rogers at the board’s monthly public work session on Thursday, Oct, 5. The Skillman Corp. is the construction management company for the project.
According to materials provided to the board at the meeting, among the parts completed recently are: “Complet(ing a) bearing wall on (the) south side of (the) auditorium” and “pour(ing) a portion of the elevated slab on the south side of the auditorium.”
Workers have also “poured (the) pool tank (slab on grade)” and put in scaffolding in the pool for ceiling work.
Plans for the next month include “set(ting)steel for (the) pool addition,” “set(ting) joists in (the) auditorium” after the pool steel is done and “pour(ing) the foundation wall for pool bleachers.”
Rogers said at this point all work should be done by the start of the 2024-25 school year.
