WINONA LAKE — The first local Faith & Blue event provided lots of fun for adults and kids Saturday afternoon, Oct. 7. The event was held in the Miller Sunset Pavilion.
There were two bouncy houses, corn hole, football and put-put golf. T-shirts were handed out to all who wanted them, wristbands, plastic police badges or sticker police stars were also being distributed. Squad cars were on display for youngsters and adults to sit in and see what all the officers have available to them.
There was plenty of food available — grilled hot dogs and hamburgers, potato and macaroni salads, chips, coffee and hot chocolate.
Officers present were from Winona Lake, Pierceton, Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office and Indiana State Police.
Winona Lake Officer Phil Hawks estimated 150 people attended the event, which he felt went well for the first time event.
