WARSAW — Kosciusko Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting for A&M Supplements on Thursday, Oct. 12.

A&M Supplements, located at 1987 N. Detroit St., Warsaw, will have a grand opening from 3-6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 14. The store will be open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays, and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays.

When asked why he decided to open a supplement shop in Warsaw, the owner, Alex Morrison, responded, “I have always been into fitness, but about eight years ago I started lifting weights. I see opening this store as another opportunity for me to give back to the community and help people reach their goals. I am able to have a lot of different products in store that you typically would have to order online so people have easier access.”

Morrison actively values health and fitness, participating in two Strongman competitions a year in Nappanee and Elkhart. He has placed in all of the top three spots during his years attending.

Morrison spoke of how he has reached out to the different high schools in the area to be a resource to them and their athletes. “I went to Tippecanoe Valley High School and played football. I want to offer kids, now, what I didn’t have, protein shakes and bars for practices and games. I want to be a role model and encourage high schoolers to start lifting and working out through this partnership.”
