Kosciusko Board of Realtors 75th Anniversary Celebration
News Release
WARSAW — This year, 2023, marks the 75th anniversary of the Kosciusko Board of Realtors obtaining their local association charter from the National Association of Realtors. At that time, the name was the Warsaw Board of Realtors.
The association started with eight founding members, including George Paton who became the first president. The original jurisdiction included a section of Whitley County until 1974 when Whitley County formed their own local association. In 1976, the name was changed from the Warsaw Board of Realtors to the Kosciusko Board of Realtors since their jurisdiction then encompassed the entire county.
Today, KBOR’s membership includes 198 Realtors members and 46 affiliate offices. KBOR members abide by the National Association’s Code of Ethics and are active members in their communities.
KBOR celebrated its anniversary, Friday, Oct. 13. The event welcomed both Realtor and affiliate members from 4-7 p.m. at the Owl’s Nest for hors d’oeuvre and desserts. Due to a generous donation from Bowers Jewelry, a diamond and gold necklace was raffled off with proceeds going to KBOR’s Children’s Charities.
This event could not have taken place without the support of the event sponsors. KBOR is grateful for the support of Michelle Miller, Annie Mac; Rod Nissley, Brick and Beam; Jamie and Donna Miller, Goldkey Inspection; Debbie Bowsher, Guyer the Mover; Shelly Avery, Fidelity National Title; Julia Moore, First Federal Bank; Joe Bowles, Hallmark Home Mortgage; Liz Decker, KBOR; Heather King, Meridian Title; Melissa Stone, Movement; Julie Hall, Patton Hall Real Estate; Linda Riley, Ruoff Mortgage; Dan Buchman, State Farm Insurance; Fred Steffen, Steffen Realty; Tom and Holly Tuttle, Team Tuttle Mortgage; Gavin Tripp, Tripp Insurance and Tracy Speigle, Via Credit Union.
