KOSCIUSKO COUNTY — Kosciusko County received the Community Crossings Grant presented by Governor Holcomb on Friday, Nov. 3.

The grant funds given were a total of $855,949.50. This money will go towards the resurfacing and repaving Old 30 from CR 450E to the city limits of Warsaw, as well as replacing a small bridge on Tippecanoe Lake located on EMS T26 Lane, Leesburg.

Superintendent for the Kosciusko County Highway Department, Steve Moriarty said, “This grant gives us the opportunity to finish the rest of Old 30, allowing for smoother rides and maintaining a crucial artery of transportation throughout the county. It will also provide the funds to replace a bridge that has long needed repair, due to lack of funding available.”
