Public Welcome To Services, Events At Atwood Otterbein Church
News Release
ATWOOD — Pastor David Banning at the Atwood Otterbein Church led the celebration on All Saints Sunday, Nov. 5, with his sermon “Standing on the Hope of Glory.”
Following his message, family members of Bill Irwin and Joyce Wolf lit candles in memory of their loved ones who had passed this year. Other congregation members were then encouraged to light candles for loved ones who had passed away in previous years.
The church congregation hosts a community coffee gathering each Wednesday morning beginning at 7:30 a.m. and a monthly men’s breakfast the second Saturday morning at 7 a.m. The women’s organization, Sisterhood in Faith, also meets monthly on the first Wednesday at 1 p.m. Banning is currently leading an adult Bible study “Invitation to John” on Wednesday evenings from 5:30-7 p.m. All events take place in the church Fellowship Hall, and the public is invited to all events and services. Sunday worship service begins at 9:30 a.m., and attendees are encouraged to come early for coffee and fellowship and stay late for light refreshments.
