25 Veterans Recognized For Their Service Through Warsaw Salutes You Banner Program

WARSAW — Twenty-five banners celebrating local veterans are currently on display along East Market Street in Warsaw, honoring those who have served or are currently serving.
The banners will be on display until November 2024 and are a part of the Warsaw Salutes You Banner Program.
Veterans with banners on display include:
- Paul Deaton – Sergeant First Class US Army, Korean War
- Willard C. DeBolt, Private First Class US Army, Vietnam War (killed in action)
- Tommy T. Stutzman, Sergeant US Army, Gulf War
- Steve McKinley, MMNCS (SS) US Navy (ret), Operation Enduring Freedom
- A. Duane Jones, Sergeant US Marine Corps, Vietnam War
- Jay Bell, Radarman Petty Officer 2nd Class US Navy, Vietnam War
- Aryton E. James, Seaman US Coast Guard, Active
- David A. Wallen, Chief Warrant Officer 2 US Army, Global War on Terrorism
- Paul Michael Berger, Specialist 5 US Army, Vietnam War
- Richard A. Irwin, Sergeant US Army, Vietnam War, two bronze stars
- Colten Stafford, Boatswain’s Mate, US Navy, Active
- Wayne Miner, Specialist 5 US Army, Vietnam War

- Medal Distinguished Flying Cross, Army Air Corps (Air Division prior to US Air Force)
- Steve Pratt, Staff Sergeant US Air Force, Vietnam War
- Judge Loren K. Collier, Lance Corporal, US Marine Corps, Vietnam War, Phu Bai, Intelligence
- Collier served as the youngest judge in the state of Indiana at the age of 29. He died at the age of 34 as a result of exposure to Agent Orange in Vietnam.
