New Paris Christmas Tree Lighting Set For Dec. 2

NEW PARIS — New Paris will celebrate its annual Christmas Tree Lighting from 4-6 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2.
At press time, Santa was scheduled to come into town, there is a cookie walk planned as well as local merchants and restaurants will have extended hours and special offers.
The street in front of Interra Credit Union will be closed off. Santa will be at New Paris Auto Service, which has donated its space for the event, to visit with local children and have his picture taken with them. The cookie walk will also be held at the garage.
There will be free popcorn and hot chocolate. The Christmas tree, located on Interra’s property, will be lit at approximately 5:45 p.m.
