WARSAW — Local barber Emmanuel Arias will be giving out free haircuts from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day at Shaves and Fades barbershop.

When asked what inspired him to give out free haircuts, Arias replied, “I had a kid come in to get his friend’s haircut with the money he had left. This kid also needed a haircut, but chose to give what he had to his friend. This situation really moved me seeing others helping each other and made me want to do my part in helping our community. It is the least I can do as this community has been so gracious in keeping me busy.”

He continued on, saying, “I believe in giving back, especially during this time. You never know what someone is going through.”

Arias will be giving free haircuts from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 23, at Shaves and Fades, 2128 E. Winona Ave., Warsaw. Customers can come in, sign in and then, he will call your name to get your hair done.
