Warsaw Man Arrested For Violating Protective Order
Staff Report
WARSAW — A Warsaw man was recently arrested for allegedly violating a protective order on two separate occasions.
Gary Lee Jones, 35, 33 EMS B33A Lane, Warsaw, is charged with two counts of invasion of privacy, both class A misdemeanors; and two counts of invasion of privacy with a prior conviction enhancement, both level 6 felonies.
On Sept. 23, a Warsaw Police officer met with a woman about Jones violating a protective order she has against him. The order was issued in January and is in effect until January 2025. In addition, there is also a no-contact order in effect between Jones and the woman as part of a domestic battery case Jones was sentenced for on Feb. 14.
According to court documents, Jones went to the woman’s place of work on Sept. 23. Since Jones was released from jail on Sept. 19, one of Jones’ relatives would also visit the woman at her place of work and try to talk with her on a daily basis.
Surveillance footage from the woman’s place of work showed Jones entering the store.
On Nov. 5, a Warsaw Police officer met with the woman regarding Jones violating the protective order. The woman said she was sitting outside of her place of employment when Jones drove by and yelled at her.
The protective order states Jones must stay away from the woman’s place of employment.
Jones was previously convicted of invasion of privacy in Kosciusko County in April.
Jones was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail on Nov. 25, with a $10,500 surety and cash bond.
