Art In Action: News About This Weekly Column
By Darla McCammon
Guest Columnist
WARSAW — For many years I have been providing the Art in Action column for both our community and a list of online readers about the world events and history of art. I also curate the exhibits for Warsaw City Hall. More recently, I have experienced some setbacks in my health, including a trip to the hospital for a fairly serious complication.
I am planning to change this column a bit while I recuperate. My daughters, who are excellent authors, will assist me. One of the changes will be interviews with local area artists, along with an opportunity for you, my readership, to text or email questions you may have about art or even articles you want to write and share with the rest of us about art. You can also help us keep up with art exhibits and information about the date, time, etc., you can visit the artwork, most of which is free to see.
Remember, the “Pierceton Picker” will be at Warsaw City Hall Art Gallery from now to the end of December. You will find his knowledge and work he has acquired to be very interesting. I urge you to visit him and watch this column for updates.
You will also want to visit the gorgeous, huge opening of the new Notre Dame art gallery. It is free to visit for now, so take advantage of this wealth of art galleries in the new facility.
I encourage you to be a partner in this project, and I thank you for the opportunity for us to communicate about all things art. Feel free to send suggestions. See you next week.
