MILFORD — Living in Transition Effectively, also known as L.I.T.E., has begun a teen support group in Milford. R.I.S.E., an acronym for Resilience, Inspiration, Support, Empowerment, provides a “safe space for everyone” ages 13-19.
The group’s first meeting will be held Dec. 3 at the Milford Methodist Meeting House, 210 W. Catherine St., and will continue to meet from 5:30-6:30 p.m. on Sundays.
“Remember who you really are today. Know that you too have the power to overcome anything you may be facing. It’s time for you to rise and shine,” was printed on the flier advertising the new group.
Additionally, L.I.T.E. Recovery Café has announced its weekly schedule, which was updated Nov. 27. The Café is open Tuesdays from 4-8 p.m., Fridays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to noon.
During the two weekdays, the schedule includes a new member orientation, a mealtime and a recovery class, among other things. On Saturday, the schedule includes breakfast, new member orientation, a financial assistance class and a recovery class, as well as other programming.
