SYRACUSE — Santa Claus made a pit stop in Syracuse Saturday, Dec. 2 to have breakfast with those on his Nice List. A pancake breakfast was served, hosted by the Syracuse Lions Club. There was also a cookie and milk station, a perfect snack after meeting Santa.
The Wawasee High School band wowed and amazed the crowd with classic Christmas carols, led by Band Director Tony Pawlicki. The music had everybody in the holiday spirit, even Santa could not help but to tap his toes to the tunes.
Set up in the Syracuse-Wawasee Historical Museum was a reindeer food station. Children scooped a little bit of oats and sugar into a bag to leave out for the reindeer on Christmas Eve.
“If Prancer doesn’t eat it all, you can give the rest to the birds for a Christmas Day Brunch!” Jamie Clemons, leader of the station, joked.
